Neck Pain That Won't Go Away Is Holding You Back

Most people dealing with chronic neck pain try to push through it — or end up in a revolving door of treatments that address symptoms without ever finding the root cause. Sound familiar?

 Treatments That Miss the Mark

You've tried stretching, rest, maybe even another clinic — but the relief never lasts. That's because most approaches treat where it hurts, not why it hurts.

Pain That Steals Your Day

Neck pain doesn't clock out. It disrupts your focus at work, your sleep at night, and your ability to do the things — and activities — you love.

No Clear Path Forward

Without a personalized plan from a qualified specialist, it's easy to feel like you're managing symptoms forever instead of actually recovering.

Why Northern Kentucky Chooses GMS for Neck Pain PT

GMS Therapy and Fitness was built on the belief that every person deserves individualized, expert care — not a rushed visit with an aide. We take a whole-body approach, addressing the root cause of your neck pain alongside lifestyle factors like posture, movement habits, and stress. The result? Outcomes that actually last.

  • 60-minute sessions, 1-on-1 with your Doctor of Physical Therapy — every visit, no exceptions

  • Direct Access: no referral or pre-authorization required to begin care

  • Out-of-network model with no cap on visits — your recovery drives the schedule, not your insurer

"I've been working with Ben for ongoing neck pain, and the results have exceeded my expectations. He uses a variety of techniques, including dry needling, cupping, muscle scraping, and massage therapy, and has created targeted exercises that address the root cause of my pain rather than just the symptoms."

"I've been working with my physical therapist for about four months, and the results have been incredible. When I first started, I was dealing with persistent shoulder and knee problems that were affecting both my daily life and my ability to play hockey at the level I wanted. Thanks to his expertise, guidance, and consistency, I now have no shoulder or knee pain and feel noticeably more stable and confident on and off the ice."

Kerensa S.

"Zac was a great therapist. He was friendly, listened, and provided easy to follow home instructions. He allowed me to be part of the process in what helped and didn't help each week, also with what would work in my busy schedule. Within one or two sessions, my pain was improving vastly. He gave me a home program with the option to return as needed."

Luke J.

"I had been battling what I did not realize was a re-herniated disc and Ben helped reduce my pain and strengthen my weakened core. Using varied strategies and listening to weekly feedback he worked with me to find relief. He's also flexible on frequency of treatment and doesn't push you to get more than is needed. I highly recommend his services!"

Common Questions

Everything you need to know before your first visit to GMS Therapy — straightforward answers, no runaround.

Do I need a referral to start physical therapy?

No. GMS Therapy operates under Direct Access, which means you can schedule an appointment and begin care without a physician referral. Just call us or book online.

Do you accept insurance?

GMS Therapy is an out-of-network provider operating on a self-pay model. This means we are not contracted with insurance companies, which allows us to spend a full 60 minutes with you — no rushed visits, no pre-authorization delays, and no cap on the number of visits you can have. We're happy to provide documentation you can submit to your insurer for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Contact us for current session rates.

What can I expect at my first visit?

Your first session is a comprehensive one-on-one evaluation with your Doctor of Physical Therapy. We'll review your history, assess your movement and strength, identify the root cause of your symptoms, and begin building your personalized treatment plan — all in a private studio setting.

Do you offer in-home physical therapy?

Yes. Our in-home PT team — including Dr. Sara Lance and Dr. Jenna Calvelage — provides physical therapy in your home across the Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati region. This is ideal for patients recovering from surgery, managing neurological conditions, or who have difficulty traveling to the clinic.

What is dry needling and is it safe?

Dry needling is a technique in which a sterile acupuncture needle is inserted into tight or tender muscle tissue to relieve pain, reduce muscle tension, and promote healing. It is performed only by certified, trained clinicians and is considered a safe and effective treatment for many musculoskeletal conditions, including neck pain.

How soon will I feel results?

Many patients notice meaningful improvement within their first few sessions. The timeline varies depending on the nature and duration of your condition, but our whole-body approach is designed to produce lasting results — not just temporary relief.
